DTNA to supply Pierce with 2010 engines

Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) will supply 2010 EPA-compliant Detroit Diesel DD13 diesel engines to Oshkosh Corp.’s fire & emergency business, Pierce Manufacturing, DTNA has announced.   According to the OEM, the DD13 has demonstrated up to a 5% increase in fuel economy compared to preceding engines, offering greater serviceability, power and torque on-demand without compromising performance. “Daimler sees significant opportunity to work with Oshkosh Corporation and Pierce Manufacturing to develop the Detroit Diesel engines as the best performance solution for its customers to meet the upcoming 2010 EPA heavy-duty on-highway emissions standards,” said Mark ...
