Detroit Diesel debuts 16-liter with SCR

LOUISVILLE.  Displacing 15.6 liters and producing up to 600 HP, the new DD16 from Detroit Diesel is the first to be offered with the company’s BlueTec SCR (selective catalytic reduction) technology. Introduced at the Mid-America Trucking Show, the new engine will be offered initially in the Western Star 4900 Series starting in March 2010 and the Western Star 6900 in July 2010.
