An expected change to federal stopping-distance regulations for trucks may not become effective until at least 2008. But that isn't stopping brake suppliers from moving ahead on the technological front to improve their products for truck buyers today, as well as tomorrow. The consensus of brake engineers seems to be that truck fleet managers now enjoy the best of both worlds when it comes to spec'ing truck brakes.
