Although it was rolled out earlier this year at the Chicago Auto Show, the new International “premium flagship” tractor — the eye-grabbing LoneStar — made its official debut before the trucking public in Louisville. The OEM said the LoneStar was designed to deliver the fuel economy of aerodynamic tractor models along with the comfort, customization and classic chromed looks of the long-nosed conventionals beloved by drivers for decades. “This is a modern interpretation of what ‘classic’ is,” said David Allendorph, International chief designer. “It is a product that is all about being authentic.” ...
