Kenworth introduces T470 vocational truck

A new truck for vocational and municipal applications from Kenworth is now available for order with production set to begin in July, Kenworth said. The T470 is ideal for dump, mixer, winch, refuse and other heavy-axle vocational and municipal applications, according to the company. It is powered by a 9-liter Cummins ISL engine with 345 hp and 1,150 ft.-lbs. of torque. Front axle options include 12,000 to 22,000 lbs. ratings with 21,000 to 26,000 lbs. single rear axles or 40,000 to 46,000 tandem rear axles.
