Gates rolls out new fuel hose

The Gates Corp. is introducing a new fuel hose design that helps prevents vapor loss for improved fuel efficiency and environmental compliance. Dubbed the Barricade, Gates said the new hose is designed for virtually any engine application that’s equipped with a conventional carburetor, including trucks, cars, tractors, and lawn and garden equipment. The company said its patent-pending five-layer Greenshield liner prevents hydrocarbon vapors from escaping through the body of fuel line hoses as fuel is conveyed from the vehicle’s storage tank to the engine.
