EnerSys has introduced a new 12-volt starting, lighting and ignition (SLI) battery designed especially for heavy-duty deep cycle applications. Based on the company's thin plate pure lead (TPPL) technology, the Odyssey PC2150 is said to provide up to 70% more starting power than wet-cell batteries, especially at low temperatures (-22°F). EnerSys says customers can expect a service life of six to eight years, and should be able to store fully-charged batteries for up to two years at 77°F.
