Next-generation Castrol engine oil

BP Lubricants USA recently announced the development of its next-generation Tection Extra diesel engine oil. The new formulation exceeds the American Petroleum Institute's (API) CJ-4 specs, as well as OEM lubricant requirements for EPA-compliant '07 engines, according to the company. Castrol Tection Extra “has been reformulated to better manage damaging soot through technology that boosts dispersion while exceeding the API Cummins ISM CJ-4 specification for soot-related wear,” the lubricant maker added.
