Slider combo gets lighter

The Holland Group announced the release of its integrated, low-weight slider system (ILS), which it says offers up to 151 lb. of weight savings, compared with conventional fifth-wheel/slider combinations, without compromising strength. The new slider system, which is compatible with Holland FW35, FW31 and FW17 fifth wheels, is available in 7-, 8- and 9-in. mounting heights and travel lengths of 12, 24, 36 and 48 in. According to the manufacturer, the system's modular design simplifies changing fifth-wheel heights, making it essentially a two-part, six-bolt task.
