Volvo announces '07 engine pricing

Volvo Trucks North America plans to add $7,500 to the base sticker price of its 2007 highway and vocational models to cover the cost of emission control technology. “It's time to really start talking about 2007 technology and pricing,” said Scott Kress, senior vp-sales & marketing, at TMC's Tampa meeting. “We looked at all our vehicle costs needed to meet the '07 emission rules, from the larger hood needed [to house] bigger engines, to the larger cooling system and addition of diesel particulate filter (DPF),” Kress said. “We've invested $150 million in our Hagerstown, MD, plant alone to ...
