Mack, Volvo offer DPFs for California operators

Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA) are now offering retrofit diesel particulate filters (DPF) that will allow operators using non-EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) engines sold from 1996 to 2002 to meet California emissions requirements. The DPFs come with a five-year/150,000 mi. warranty and can be ordered through any Mack or Volvo dealer in the U.S. or Canada. The DPF, which must be installed by the dealer, is integrated into existing exhaust systems and is offered in various sizes based on engine displacement and horsepower.
