Freightliner previews 2010 Cascadia for EPA officials

The recent Diesel Technology Forum Clean Diesel Power event in Washington, D.C., provided top Environmental Protection Agency officials the chance to preview the new 2010 Freightliner Cascadia day cab with BlueTec SCR technology. The truck is said to produce up to a 5% improvement on fuel compared to the Freightliner Century Class truck certified to meet 2007 EPA standards. The new Cascadia will save nearly 11,500 gals. of fuel per truck over an average lifetime of one million miles, Freightliner said.
