Kenworth APU, hybrids get tax breaks

Kenworth has announced its Clean Power no-idle system has qualified for an exemption from the 12% U.S. Federal Excise Tax (FET). The Internal Revenue Service recently announced that idle reduction devices approved through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) SmartWay program can qualify for the FET exemption. Available as a factory-installed option for Kenworth T660, T800 and W900 models equipped with the 72-in.
