Kenworth garners EPA award

Kenworth Truck Co. has been honored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with a 2008 Clean Air Excellence Award. The company said it is the first truck manufacturer to win the honor since the inception of the awards in 2000. The award recognizes Kenworth's environmental efforts with its T270 Class 6 and T370 Class 7 diesel-electric hybrids, T800 liquefied natural gas tractors and its Clean Power no-idle system.
