Pilot details DEF bulk dispensers

Pilot Travel Centers LLC will roll out 25 bulk dispensing units of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) each quarter beginning in the third quarter of 2009 through the second quarter of 2010 at its North American truckstops. Ultimately, approximately 100 of Pilot’s 328 locations will have bulk dispensing capabilities, while the remaining truckstops will have packaged quantities available, the company said. DEF is a required fluid for 2010 engines that use selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems to reduce NOx.
