DriveCam goes cellular

DriveCam is offering a new cellular data delivery option with a Web interface for its driver behavior monitoring system. The system uses a video event recorder that activates when it detects harsh driving, such as hard braking, swerving, or a collision. The recorded video is later sent to DriveCam safety experts to rate the severity of the event, and aid customers in coaching drivers. Customers can now opt for cellular uploads from the vehicle recorder with a Web interface to simplify deployment, and eliminate investments in a Wi-Fi infrastructure.
