GE trailer tracker moves to Delphi

The GE VeriWise trailer tracking system is now using a new satellite transceiver developed and manufactured by Delphi Corp. The unit, the DS300, provides two-way wireless data communications over the Orbcomm low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite network. The new Delphi transceiver provides the same technical capabilities as the unit it replaces, but offers updated automotive-style connectors for easier installation and greater robustness, according to a GE spokesperson. Delphi also offers higher manufacturing production capacity to match increased demand for the VeriWise system, he said.
