TMW predicts Year of the Driver

With the American Trucking Assns. predicting a driver shortage of 110,000 by 2014, 2006 will be “the year of the driver,” according to TMW Software chairman Tom Weisz. Speaking at the annual TMW User Group in Cleveland, Weisz said the size of the driver shortage by 2014 means there will be “about 4-billion pounds of cargo that won't move. And that hurts everybody.
