Tracker approved for DOD freight

Fleets hauling ordnance for the Dept. of Defense can now use TransCore's GlobalWave data communications terminal to wirelessly track and monitor their vehicles. GlobalWave's MT2000 terminal for untethered trailer tracking has just received DOD's hazards of electromagnetic radiation to ordnance (HERO) certification, which is required for any products used around electrically initiated devices (EIDs). The DOD certification means there are no distance restrictions on use of the MT2000 except that it be mounted on the top of aluminum-roofed trailers carrying EIDs.
