CentruLite wheels

Hayes Lemmerz International unveiled a line of lightweight cast aluminum wheels for Class 7 and 8 tractors and over-the-road trailers. CentruLite wheels can be used on all 22.5 × 8.25-in. hub-piloted mountings using a 10-hole, 285.75-mm bolt circle, 220-mm center hole, and a 6.70-in. offset. Each wheel is serialized and carries a visual record that verifies process control and makes it possible to track wheels in the future. The wheels carry a five-year limited warranty. According to Hayes Lemmerz, aluminum wheels offer 25% to 30% weight savings over steel wheels, thus improving** fuel economy and increasing payload capability.
