The latest generation of Hammerhead and Hammerhead Xtreme tablet PCs a range of wireless connectivity options, displays for use in direct sunlight and proprietary data protection technologies, according to DRS Tactical Systems Inc. The company's ProtectIT system safeguards data by automatically retracting drive heads when extreme shocks or acceleration is detected. Another proprietary technology called QuickBack recovers critical data by reverting to a data point prior to any data loss or system failure.
