Diesel prices fall three cents

Diesel prices averaged $3.96 for the week of March 31--falling $.03 from the week before, according to data compiled by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). The average price hit a high of $3.99 the week of March 24th and dropped for the first time since January 28, 2008, after reporting a $0.57 jump from mid-February to mid-March. The price is still $1.17 higher than it was a year ago. Average prices in five of the ten regions of the country EIA measures have surpassed $4.00 per gallon, with the Central Atlantic region the most expensive at $4.16 ...
