Great Dane calculates fuel savings

LOUISVILLE. Fitted with EPA SmartWay recommended components, the Great Dane SSL dry van trailer can cut fuel consumption up to 6.5%, according to a new online cost calculator released by the trailer manufacturer at the Mid-America Trucking Show. Both the dry van and the Great Dane Super Seal refrigerated trailer on display at the show were fitted with side skirts, low rolling resistance tires and aluminum wheels, and the dry van also carried a front fairing.
