Seat belt use encouraged

LifeGuard Technologies announced the launch of its “Click, Tug & Snug” seat belt campaign at the Mid-America Trucking Show last week in Louisville. The program gives step-by-step directions for using Lifeguard’s Komfort Latch and Sliding Komfort Latch seat belts. According to LifeGuard, truck drivers who wear seat belts are nearly twice as likely to survive an accident, and a study by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) found that while 82% of passenger vehicle drivers wear seatbelts, only 65% of truckers do.
