DDC, UAW partner for hurricane recovery

Redford, MI-based Detroit Diesel Corp. (DDC) and United Auto Worker (UAW) Local 163 are partnering with Redford Township to help the community of Plaquemines Parish, LA, recover from damage inflicted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. To kick off the project, DDC sent a tractor-trailer full of donations from Redford residents and Detroit Diesel employees to Plaquemines Parish. Relief supplies included non-perishable food items and cleaning supplies, as well as clothing and household items.
