NYC’s Holland Tunnel partially reopened

The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey has announced the Holland Tunnel is now open in the westbound (to New Jersey) direction for cars and buses only—no trucks, including vans and pickups, will be allowed . The eastbound lanes (into Manhattan) remain closed to all traffic. The tunnel, a key Hudson River crossing linking lower Manhattan with Jersey City, had been closed to all traffic since the terrorists attack of September 11 leveled the nearby World Trade Center.
