Walla Walla's garbage truck fleet destroyed

Walla Walla, WA's, fleet of 10 garbage trucks was destroyed Tuesday in an early morning fire, with damage estimates reaching as high as $3 million. The Tri-City Herald reported today that a fire gutted a central section of the city's public services building, burning 10 garbage trucks worth an estimated $1.8 million to $2.2 million. The city said it would evaluate how best to replace the trucks after talking with its insurance company.
