IdleAire signs on Arctic Express

Refrigerated freight carrier Arctic Express has signed an agreement with truckstop electrification systems provider IdleAire Technologies to receive a 15% discount on hourly rates and enable the fleet’s fuel card to be used to pay for basic IdleAire services. “APUs (auxiliary power units) are too expensive from our perspective and they add weight to our trucks which we need for product,” said Arctic Express president Richard Durst. “IdleAire’s driver benefits are unique among idling alternatives, and drivers tell me this is a benefit they want me to provide.
