New deal will tap iPhone

DriverTech has announced an exclusive agreement with iCooper Inc., under which iCooper will design and develop enterprise management solutions for DriverTech customers using its DT4000 TruckPC. According to DriverTech, the partnership will create a handheld interface and integrated, unthethered applications for fleets with 500 or more trucks by utilizing the iPhone as a data collection tool. “DriverTech and iCooper will leverage their respective core capabilities to design, engineer, test and integrate products for the truck market that will assist fleets in managing their operations more productively, effectively and efficiently,” said Scott Lemon, vp of sales for DriverTech. “Together ...
